There's the buildup, where my heart gets pumping cause I know I'm going to do it and I'm getting excited. But there's that tinge of guilt in the back of my mind cause I know the animal doesn't deserve it. In the end my want to cause harm generally wins out. I've never killed an animal though, just abuse. The fear in their eyes and the desperate panic that sets in to them when they know there is nowhere to run. It's almost euphoric. I love watching the animal backed into the corner, ready to fight for it's life. Of course I have 160+ pounds on it so fighting is futile, but watching it try to decide what to do when I close in on it. You can see in their eyes the fear. Then after I'm done I feel really guilty. I even sit with the animal and console it, apologize and tell it I love it. Sometimes I even get it to trust me again, make it my friend. Then start the cycle over again.
